比起筋道有嚼劲的口感，南方馒头则是另一番风味——在“首届中国南方馒头小麦品种质量鉴评会”上，国家小麦产业技术体系烟台综合试验站站长李林志团队选育的小麦“烟农1212”获评第一。育种人姜鸿明研究员说，这一品种粉质白、出粉率高、麦香味浓郁，在我国黄淮麦区已累计推广约3000万亩。
